TidyPapers privacy

Your documents stay in your browser

Invoices, change orders, timer sessions, tax inputs and the business details you enter are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. PDFs are generated in your browser. We do not upload these documents to a server and we cannot read them. Clearing your browser data, or using another browser or device, removes them.

The site also keeps a small preference in local storage about which suggestion variant you were shown for international payments, so you see the same one on your next visit.

Anonymous visit and click counts

We use PostHog, hosted in the EU (eu.i.posthog.com), to count page visits and button clicks so we can see which tools are used. It runs in cookieless mode: no cookie and no local-storage identifier is placed on your device, and PostHog derives a daily-changing anonymous hash on its servers instead.

• Session recording is switched off.
• Text you type into the document areas of the tools is excluded from click capture.
• If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, the analytics script does not run.

Optional email for tool updates

After you download a kit on the client onboarding kit page, an optional box asks if you want a note when we add a new freelancer tool. If you submit an email address, it is sent to our own server function (/api/subscribe) and stored in Cloudflare KV with a timestamp and the name of the page it came from. It is used only for occasional tool updates and is stored until we delete it. To have it removed, email [email protected].

To limit spam, that function also keeps a short-lived counter keyed by your IP address, so repeated requests can be refused. It expires automatically after about 60 seconds. Submitting the box is optional and the kit works without it.

Cookies

TidyPapers does not set cookies of its own.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. As with any website, the host processes standard request data such as your IP address to deliver pages.

Affiliate links

Some pages link to Wise through an affiliate tracking link. If you follow one, you leave TidyPapers and Wise and its tracking partner handle your data under their own privacy policies. We may earn a commission if you sign up.
